                 Lover's Leap

Lover's Leap just south of Hannibal, MO EM49hq is a great uW location to points north through east.

                                                                     Louisiana, MO
  Another good location is in Louisiana, MO EM49lk overlooking the Mississippi River.  Good to points north through east. Not as far north as Hannibal.

This site is located at John B.Henderson Riverview Park, North Main and Jackson Streets.

 

                                    Eagle Roost- Pere Marquette State Park, IL EM48rx

 This site offers excellent a great view to all points southeast, south and south west.

                                          Frenchman's Bluff, Cuivre River  State Park EM49ma

Frenchman's Bluff located on the western edge of the park offers great views to the southwest, west and north west.  This park is located about 3 miles east of Troy, MO on Hwy 47.

      Frenchman's Bluff offers a good, clear views from 225 to 325 degrees at an elevation of over 700 feet.

                                       Brown County State Park, Indiana EM69vd

This park offers views  to select locations.  See map.  Ron KO0Z and Debbie KC9ULA went there a few years ago with good results.

                                                     Farmersville, IL GOB site EM 59ek

Located just east of I-55 and the Farmersville exit, #72, this gob site has a wind turbine.  It offers a 360 degree panorama, but it is on private property and permission is needed to gain access to the top of the gob.

                                                            New Florence, MO EM48gv

Located along I-70 on the south service road, directly across from Ameren's solar panels this spot offers reasonable views to the north and west.

 

                                                       Ohlman Cemetery EM59ji

Ohlman Cemetery located off IL Route 16, near Pana, IL is a great locations with an almost 360 degree view.  It is on top of a hilltop cemetery. Best of all, its elevation puts you above the corn fields.

                                                                  

                                                               Kingdom City EM38xw

This location is along I-70, west of Kingdom City, MO.  Take exit 144 to the south service road and approximately a mile or two is a spot to set-up.  Views to the north and west.
